Yedent: Dehusker Shellers Donation
Donation Of Dehusker Shellers
The Yedent Agro-Group of Companies in partnership with Ecobank Ghana PLC has donated four (4) Dehusker Shellers and an articulated truck valued at $50,000 and $105,000 respectively to its farmers and aggregators.
The dehuskers were purchased as part of the company’s objective to obtain the best quality of raw materials at a fast pace to ensure constant and uninterrupted production. The dehuskers will support 6,000 outgrower and smallholder farmers with dehusking of maize instead of using their hands, which takes a lot of time.
The handing over event took place on November 19, 2021 on-site the Yedent Factory. In attendance were the Bono Regional Minister (Hon. Justina Owusu Banahene), Tech Advisor to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (Mr. Asante Krobea), Managing Director of Ecobank (Mr. Dan Sackey), Bono Regional Agric Officer and other dignitaries.
Recipients of the dehuskers were K. Oppong Enterprise, S.K Nyame Beba, Jomo Enterprise and Love Aggregators. This donation is the first of many more to come, as both Ecobank and Yedent Group are both inclined to the support and nurturing of Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in the Agribusiness value chain.
